We support Aldea Global and Aldea Foundation to offer sustainable technical assistance, microcredit and competitive marketing services for 5 thousand coffee producers associated in Matagalpa and Jinotega; through co-investments in certification processes – Aldea Cert; leveraging information and digital technology -AgTech and Fintech.
MOCCA and Exportadora Atlantic (EXPASA) are reaching more than one thousand small producers in the areas of Jinotega, Matagalpa and Boaco. We are working on the establishment of 50 demonstration plots, strengthening the competencies of coffee growers based on evidence and the exchange of experiences. In addition, EXPASA facilitates certifications for participating farmers.
Together we provide direct and remote technical assistance to 3,400 producers to improve their productivity, quality, traceability, and profitability, using Cisa Exportadora’s LIFT application. We improved their access to certified markets with the Rainforest Alliance and C.A.F.E Practices standards, and developed an Early Warning System for pest and disease management based on agro-climatic information.
MOCCA, as a member of the Nicaraguan Sustainable Coffee Platform (Nicafés), promotes the competitive and sustainable development of the coffee sector, participating in the exchange of information and knowledge management to strengthen productivity among the actors of the value chain and supporting COVID19 prevention campaigns among technical teams and producers in coffee farms.
